By US Food and Drug Administration. Provides general information about newly approved prescription drugs (drugs approved since January 1998).

By eMedExpert. Includes reviews and comparisons of drugs, Brand/Generic name correspondence tool, and PDR's Side effects index. The information is based on recent reviews and articles published in the medical literature and drug prescribing information approved by the US FDA.

Epocrates Rx Clinical Drug Database
By ePocrates, Inc.. Drug monographs distilled from primary sources and treatment guidelines on more than 3,300 branded and generic drugs. For Palm OS or Pocket PC devices; Windows or Mac. Requires registration and cookies on for download.

MayoClinic Drug Search
By Mayo Foundation for Medical Education and Research. Find information on prescription and over-the-counter drugs from Micromedex.

MEDLINE plus Health Information
By US National Library of Medicine. Find information on hundreds of diseases, conditions, and wellness issues. Safety topics include accidents, first aid/emergencies, motor vehicle safety, and disasters and emergency preparedness.

MEDLINEplus Drug Information
By US National Library of Medicine. Information on thousands of prescription and over-the-counter medications is provided through two drug resources -- MedMaster, a product of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), and the USP DI Advice for the Patient, a product of the United States Pharmacopeia (USP).

National Drug Code (NDC) Directory
By US Food and Drug Administration. The NDC serves as a universal product identifier for human drugs. The current edition of the National Drug Code Directory is limited to prescription drugs and a few selected Over-The-Counter (OTC) products.
